Cape Panwa Beach

Cape Panwa Beach

Ideal for those seeking peace and relaxation. Cape Panwa is located to the south of Phuket City where lush hills provide magnificent views of the Andaman Sea.
Apart from a few resorts and bungalows there is very little tourist development here. However, the area is seeing an increasing amount of high-end property developments. Dining and nightlife options outside of the hotels are quite limited, although Phuket City is not too far away.

Cape panwa beach tapping This south-westerly facing beach named after a nearby Muslim village - has managed to remain exactly the same as it has been for years in spite of intensive urbanization in the direct area. It's still tranquil and a haven for people who like peace and quiet. Khao Khat is eight kilometers east of Phuket Town and covers the west coast of Cape Panwa
There are actually two Ao Yons lying south of Capa Panwa and they are separated by a rocky headland. Ao Yon junior is home to a large shrimp farm but is actually very attractive and virtually deserted with a great view out to Chalong Bay and Lone Island.
Locals sit under the tree line and small children like to play at the far western end, where an ice cold stream coming down from the hills (there is a waterfall behind the beach) meets the sea.
If you head over the hill and round the bend you will come to Ao Yon senior. Here it is best to leave your car on the main road and walk down one of the several paths leading to the sea.
